The Pre-capture feature works by keeping a buffer of frames in memory to so that when motion is detected the video before the time of motion is also captured. For this purpose SecuritySpy has Pre-capture and Post-capture features. Video from both before and after a motion event, even though the motion is not high enough to trigger recording, often holds something interesting happening in the video that is worth capturing. The captured image files can be optionally uploaded to a remote computer or web server via FTP so that footage can be viewed on the Internet and/or held safe at a remote location. Everything is processed and stored locally on your Mac, so you get the best privacy and don’t have to pay recurring. This means you can start recordings, schedule events, or even set rules to control HomeKit accessories in response to motion detected by the cameras. The video itself is captured as standard QuickTime movies which can then be accessed by practically all video software on the Mac. Another big advantage of using SecuritySpy is that it integrates with HomeKit. SecuritySpy compresses captured video in MPEG-4 codec, and still images are saved in JPEG format. The SecuritySpy software includes a timelapse capture feature which can be used to maintain constant capture that is not linked to motion detection 24 hours a day. The sensitivity of the motion detection feature can be adjusted by the user for optimum output and detection of motion can be set to all or only part of the video image. 08) and Raspberry PI 3 Sannce 1080P IP Cameras SecuritySpy for MacOs Sercomm iCamera2 Sercomm. ![]() While it lacks a built-in speaker and LED status indicator light, Aqara's slimmed-down hub still sports Zigbee 3.0 connectivity and can host up to 128 accessories, all in a tiny USB-A stick form factor. SecuritySpy features highly optimized motion detection, allowing each camera to be set up to capture video and/or still image files when motion is detected. As our review suggests, the Aqara Hub E1 is a great entry point to HomeKit and HomeKit security. Also, each camera can be viewed in its own window. Video from all cameras can be viewed simultaneously in the main video preview window. One thing I had to learn was if you use 2FA you need use the code to authenticate along with your wyze acct login.Multiple cameras can be used by SecuritySpy simultaneously. Hoobs basically will setup a webpage to manage the server and config and from there you can just search for the wyze plugin - it handles all the basic plugs, bulbs and sensors but not the lock or cams. But I saw this thread on homebridge/hoobs so looked into it. So I dusted off the old netbook, loaded Linux and it had new life. But I recall years ago I had a lot of success running Linux on old hardware. I was going to use the panel with a rasp pi. But for the plugs and bulbs, it is really handy to have them in HomeKit now since I just ask Siri to toggle things on/off or brighten or dim a bulb or change color temp.įor homebridge I went with hoobs for the ease of setup. Cameras can output two separate streams, h.264, mjpeg, h.265. I also have a dashboard that cycles through camera images (each camera every few seconds). I haven’t done it yet since I’m ok with the limited ability I have with the wyze app. I have a mix of Hikvision and other consumer cameras. The cams will require the RTSP firmware loaded.
